The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Our Swiss-inspired Chalet is nestled on 26 private acres of rolling pastures, woods, trails, and a creek. This cozy, 5 bedroom house, features a split level, allowing guests to relax w/multiple living spaces. Watch horses graze from your balcony patio, meet the donks, or bottle feed a baby goat+calf! Reconnect in the movie theatre/game room, play games by the wood burning fireplace, or enjoy the 6 person hot tub after a horse show! Let us set up a campfire with boujee s’mores or outdoor movie!

The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.
