Twenty minutes up the lake is Kokanee Springs golf course perhaps a round of golf. Your neighbour above the beach is a pair of eagles

In the winter, the Whitewater Ski hill is about 40 minute (+ scenic ferry ride) away. There is ample cross country skiing on the Kokanee Springs golf course and up Crawford Creek road as well as the spectacular Ainsworth Hot Springs just across the ferry(booking required).
