Very safe with two parks, one being a Civil war battle site, all surrounded by majestic live oaks, salt water marshes, creeks and rivers. There is wonderful bird watching as well as great fishing and crabbing. Surf is up at Folly Beach just down the road and downtown Charleston is a ten minute drive.
