The sunlit cottage is perfect place to enjoy the largest lake in Virginia, exploring nearby state parks, the quaint town of Clarksville, or nearby breweries/wineries. The cottage offers an open view of the lake and use of a dock (150 yds from house) for fishing, swiming, docking watercraft or watching the sunset. A great retreat for a small family of 4 or 2 couples. Please indicate the number of guests; parties over 4 must be pre-approved. Reservation must be by an adult (age 21+).

Hawkwood House is close to Charlottesville, VA. It is in a 100-acre wood. Two guests share downstairs bedroom. Guests may use upper floor only with prior arrangements. It is a very quiet, peaceful setting. It is located near historic sites from colonial times of the United States and the Civil War and near Charlottesville VA and homes to three early US presidents (Monticello, Ash Lawn and Montpelier).

Two blocks from Longwood University, this home is terrific to visit either Longwood or Hampden-Sydney College. Maybe you are interested in furniture shopping in Farmville, a round of golf at The Manor or biking the High Bridge Trail.
