Nearby is the charming historic town of Clayton (est. 1819); home to the flagship Wander outdoor store, amazing food spots (Wood-fired pizza, Cuban, Mexican, Italian, American, etc.) & lovely shops. Romantic, rustic cabin at the base of a 35-foot waterfall, nestled in the middle of 16 secluded acres surrounded by national forest that extends to the Chattooga River. This magical get-away caters to those with an adventurous spirit. Hike from the cabin to additional waterfalls, bike down Turkey Ridge Road to Opossum Creek Trail and the Five Falls or drive two miles to the Chattooga Belle Farm. The Waterfall Cabin is a joy to us all, and we hope you love it as much as we do. No cleaning fee.

You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are less than 10 minutes from downtown Clayton. The charming city has shops, coffee, restaurants, a brewery and Wander North Georgia. Perfect location if you are interested in River rafting (Chattooga River rafting is near by). If you enjoy hiking, fishing or just enjoying outdoors this is the place for you. Guest House is located to the right of the main house, but it is private. We would love to have you!! Close to Clemson, Cashiers, Highlands, Chattooga Belle Farms.

After a day of hiking to amazing waterfalls, whitewater rafting, golfing or just exploring the local shops, return to your private oasis in the mountains for a peaceful night's rest.

The Cottage

Come relax and refresh in peaceful surroundings. Relax and unwind on the front porch. Experience tranquility as the sun sets and the frogs start croaking. You are welcome to cast a line in the pond to try your skill at fishing. Fishing poles are not provided. The cottage is private but still has convenience of Walmart and Oconee Memorial Hospital within a 5 minute drive. We are 13 miles from Clemson.
