Living room with stove, study, sun room, kitchen-dining room. Perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, hiking, canoeing and biking - and The Boathouse Michelin-listed seafood restaurant. Gigha is 3 hours’ drive from Glasgow, and a 20min ferry. The island is seven miles long, and our house is in the village near the shop and the Gigha Hotel and bar.

Mattie’s house is in the village of Port Ellen,very central 5 minutes to the ferry port and minutes to the sandy beach.There are shops and hotels and distilleries all within walking distance,if you are coming by car there is on street parking and if you are coming by public transport the bus stop is meters away,please be aware we are in a residential area.The house has one double bedroom,one twin,living room,kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower,there is oil central heating in the property.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Turn left or right at bottom ofdrive & you will arrive at beach , or just take in Bird life in the valley .

This traditional 3 bed ground floor distillery cottage features two double bedrooms and bunk bedroom (Sleeps 6) with separate living room, kitchen and main shower room. To the back of No7, you’ll find a good sized garden with views down to Lagavulin Bay.
