Iconic 17th Century Thatched Cottage

Enjoy the beautiful garden in the summer sunshine or hunker down next to the fire in the winter, Hoo Cottage has it all! It is one of the few thatched Cotswold Stone properties, tucked away in the idyllic village of Chipping Campden. We have done our best to bringing out the distinctive character of this historic property, while furnishing it in a luxurious rustic style. The history of the cottage is still up to debate. However, we have found evidence of it playing a role as the village bakery.

Located in the heart of Ilmington (named in Sunday Times' 50 best Villages in UK) tucked in a fold of the Cotswold hills just 4 miles to Chipping Campden and 8 miles to Stratford Upon Avon. Two bedroom converted ground floor of a Cotswold barn has been newly renovated and furnished. Fully equipped kitchen & dining area lead in to large bright sitting room with door to outside deck. Two king bedrooms (one can be split to 2 singles). Walks and gardens all around. Great community cafe & shop.

It's the perfect base to explore all the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. Ideal for couples, family of four or friends as both bedrooms have their own bathroom. Pretty cottage garden for fine weather and a toasty open fire for the winter. Well behaved dogs considered. Free parking on the road outside.

Relaxing retreat on the edge of the Cotswolds

The house is situated 10 minutes away from Moreton In Marsh, a beautiful cotswolds town with great train links to London, as well as being close to Stratford-Upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace). The village has a great pub which is 1/2 a mile down a single track lane from the studio. Guests will be welcomed by either myself, Jo or Ken. Should you have any questions about the local area do message or knock on the door when you're here and we will answer these.

IDYLLIC COSY WEST WING CLOSE TO CHIPPING CAMDEN

Approached up a quarter mile long driveway, this is the west wing of a large Cotswold farmhouse set in a courtyard within 12 acres of fields and is the most perfect retreat. Where possible a two nights stay over weekend please. The wing has its own private front door and is self contained. It is immaculately clean and has BT broadband wifi. Outside we have an astro tennis court and have an area beside there with chairs and table to sit and relax
