Eight Mile Room

The Historic Northern Hotel is the oldest hostelry in northern Idaho. Located on Priest Lake in Coolin, Idaho, the two-story log hotel was built in 1900 by Walt Williams, an employee of the Great Northern Railroad. One of a number of lodges created to attract more passengers to the rail line, the Historic Northern Hotel is the only one that remains from the early days of Idaho statehood when mining, timber, and tourism businesses were beginning to develop around Priest Lake.

Our beautiful, fully furnished cabins are located one mile from fishing, swimming and a boat access at the confluence of the Middle Fork & the North Fork Rivers. The secluded forested feel of the property is nicely complemented by the convenient location to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. From your cabin door, you are a 10 minute drive to the entrance of Glacier Park in West Glacier and the gateway town of Columbia Falls.

The Huckleberry @ Flathead Lake Hostel

The Huckleberry Room is a clean, well lit private room with private small sink, complete with a custom-built Montana log Queen size bed. Named after our dog and a favorite berry found at high altitudes in MT, Huckleberries. Easy access to Glacier National Park and breathtaking Flathead lake, shared common areas make this Hostel a must stay while in the area. We are a short drive to the lakes edge for all your boating and water sport activities.
