Welcome to The Flower Bed, a greenhouse cabin on the slopes of Mauna Loa, Big Island with everything you need for a great vacation. Relax on the outdoor patio, cozy up with a book on the loveseat, enjoy the rainfall shower. Gaze at the amazing stars and be lulled to sleep by evening nature sounds. Awake to birds in song and morning sun filtering through the window. Sample an edible flower, use a pinch of lavender for calm, and enjoy peekaboo ocean views. You won’t regret staying several nights!

If you are a scuba diver, we take you out on shore dives. We provide tanks and weights. If you want to snorkel, we can give you a tour of places to snorkel. All of our services are free for our guests. Our location in southern Kona makes it convenient to visit the Volcano National Park, Green Sand Beach, Black Sand Beach and other local attractions.

The Whale House is a great home to watch the whales migrate down the Kona Coast in season! The house has 3 private bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths on two levels. The upper (primary level) includes a full service kitchen, two master bedrooms and 1 & 1/2 bathrooms. The lower living area is separate from the main living space, is handicap accessible (See Accessibility Notes) and has a private master bedroom and master bath. We are completely off grid.. we use rain water for showering… but don’t worry it’s a hot shower. Our toilets are compost to use less water and work with Mother Nature. U also have ur own tiny back yard hang out area, Wi-Fi available
