Original 1940's beach cottage lovingly restored and updated for another eighty years of use for our family and our guests. Set on the first Valla beach street surrounded by homes used for generations by families from Armidale for their year round beach holidays. It's just a gentle downhill stroll to the 5 km long dog friendly beach backed by untouched forest reserve and an equally easy amble up to the cafe with its beautiful coffees and food. Please note we live next door in the main house and our dogs (GSD and Chihuahua) will bark occasionally. Neighbours also have dogs that sometimes bark. If you hate dogs, please book elsewhere. Bird Song is on fertile farm land on Kinchela Creek, only a few kilometres from Hat Head and South West Rocks on the Mid North Coast. It is only 10 minutes from Pacific Highway and an ideal stop over point or relaxing weekend. Our farm house has panoramic views across the country side and creek. The guest house with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom is adjacent to our house on an elevated deck which surrounds the swimming pool. Our farm has cows, horses, dogs, free range ducks, chickens & turkeys.

We are an Eco Retreat in the forest close to the beach, a wildlife loving surfer's perfect holiday accommodation. Access is via forest roads suitable for cars with higher clearance. The studio is run on a 12volt solar system. Upstairs is an open air (shadecloth rather than windows) loft with a deck. Downstairs is lounge, dining and indoor outdoor kitchen area. The middle level has an outdoor bath area, with compost toilet & gas fired shower. Shops & cafes 5ks. Pet friendly.
