Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. You'll have a private space in a detached historic carriage house, sharing a yard with the host. We have a large yard with a patio near the carriage house, covered porch, grill, bbq pit, bocce court, and outdoor living room (summer). We have a dog that has yard access. Private, secured parking is available for 1 car. Families are welcome, as are pets. We recommend families 3+ contact us before booking to ensure the space will work for you.

You'll be staying in our newly constructed carriage house at the back of our property in the heart of Corktown - Detroit's oldest historic neighborhood. This private dwelling is accessed from the back alley entrance and offers high ceilings and a panoramic view of downtown and the surrounding neighborhood. The unit features 1 bedroom/1 bath, living, dining, laundry and a full kitchen. In warmer months a small cafe seating area is situated on the spanish rock drive along the green alley.

Bordering aesthetically between steampunk chic and bohemian chill the home is filled with handmade furniture, art and a variety of features and comforts meant to both relax the body and satisfy the mind. From handcrafted silver knobs, custom built beds, lamps and other features everything was carefully built or imported from our various travels. Truly too many unique elements to list. Welcome to The N. Corktown Loft—a modern light-filled studio in Detroit. Entry to the loft is in the rear of the property, accessible only from the alleyway via Elm or Butternut. • The Loft is a second floor studio space with bed, living area, kitchen and bathroom. • There is a free, designated parking area off the alley, adjacent to entry door. • The studio is in the outbuilding, behind our house, with entry and parking area off alley

Mid Century Appeal in Hamtramck < 10 min Downtown

We are centrally located to most everything in the metro Detroit area. You will have the entire home to yourself with access to the entire first floor. The house is very cozy and set up for a relaxing stay. The kitchen has most everything you need. (Utensils, coffee maker, French press, grinder, tea kettle, tea, condiments, microwave, a toaster oven...) And towels and soap are provided as well. We welcome you to our vintage charmer.
