Nur einen Steinwurf von Brampton im Norden Cumbrias entfernt, ist Solport View Cottage der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um die Fülle von Attraktionen zu entdecken, die der Hadrianswall bietet. Die North Pennines, Solway Coast und Scottish Borders liegen ebenfalls ganz in der Nähe. Mit seinem Panoramablick und dem vollständig eingezäunten Garten ist es auch perfekt, um sich zurückzulehnen und zu entspannen.

Eine von „Amazing Spaces“ inspirierte Schiffscontainer-Umwandlung, die in einem ruhigen, abgelegenen, wildtierfreundlichen Garten am Fuß der Pennine Hills liegt. Der Container liegt nur 5 Gehminuten vom malerischen Dorf Talkin entfernt, das eine freundliche Kneipe mit Essen hat. Ein Holzofen (Holz wird gestellt) sorgt dafür, dass der Container bei jedem Wetter gemütlich bleibt. Es ist ein ausgezeichneter Ausgangspunkt, um Hadrianswall, die North Lakes und das Eden Valley zu erkunden... oder ein perfekter Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach oder von Schottland.

The cottage is in an unparallelled location just 150 yards from "the best bit" of Hadrians Wall at Walltown Crags and directly opposite the Roman Army Museum. There is a bus stop right (services include AD122) outside. We are perfectly located for walking, visiting the sites along Hadrians Wall, stargazing events at Walltown & Twice Brewed as well as visiting the lakes & Scottish Borders

You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

This delightful and cosy, single-storey, detached holiday cottage has been furnished to a high standard and has pleasant views across open countryside. The hills in the distance are the Nine Nicks of Thirlwall along the ridge of which runs Hadrian's Wall. The cottage is within 50m of the line of the wall and the National Trail. It sits on the edge of the village, in a very tranquil location being the last property on a very quiet lane.
