Welcome to our private rainforest guesthouse. Nestled atop a hill in the rainforest. Wildlife surrounds with peacocks, bush turkeys, scrub fowl, eagles and other native animals. The totally private guesthouse is near new and part of our National Award Winning Sustainable property, designed by the host. Please note: Not suitable for 4 adults. See rules. 20 minutes drive to the CBD and Airport. Close to northern Beaches, James Cook University, 20 mins to Kuranda and 40 mins to Port Douglas.

The Garden Shed

Once a 1950's built carport, now a cosy cabin within a garden. It's unique, it's artistic, it oozes creativity and it was built almost entirely by us. The main room features a comfortable queen bed, a Smart TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and kettle, and a few other appliances. Through the french doors your find a small outdoor cooking station, sink and a bar. A few metres further into the heart of the garden you have your own cute little pergola with a table for two.

This private cabin is set in the rainforest, self contained and separate from the main house with beautiful views over the Coral Sea and Low Isle. Rest, relax, rejuvenate in your luxury hydrotherapy spa with both recliners facing the coral sea, set in total privacy, your ultimate holiday getaway! Tropical 1/2 acre retreat alive with bird calls and wildlife,hosting a 10m cool deep pool with lawns and sun lounges for lazing. New Pool Cabana 1 Queen with ensuite open lounge and kitchen with exotic Balinese day bed looking out onto the sweeping deck under the giant ponciana tree with swings and a hammock for siestas. 5 min stroll through the butterfly forrest to Horseshoe Bay for shops ,cafe,restaurants,Tavern ,bus,national park trails,watersports and the best Magnetic sunsets.

Tropical Bliss

Local cafes and restaurants only a 5 min walk, 10min walk to the botanical gardens, CBD is only 12mins by car. The studio is spacious, light and airey. Once inside, views to the pool which is are surrounded by tropical gardens. In the pool area there is a large sunbed for relaxing, morning coffee or a quiet sundowner. My place is very private, quiet and you will have a real local experience. It offers your own BBQ for cooking it has only a kitchenette with microwave and air fryer.

Set on 40 Private acres, "The Birdsnest" is our modern air-cond smaller cabin. It is open plan living/bedroom with q/size bed and sofa that converts to double bed for extra guests. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.

Mac,and Gaynor , invite you to stay at the cabin overlooking the "Billabong" in our private bush acreage. You can meet our resident families of kangaroos and wallabys, also all the birds. Relax on the deck while you plan your next adventure. For you boaties, we have a parking area for your trailer boat, and a few hot offshore marks. the Billabong has a dog friendly area. The Billabong is not suitable for infants, toddlers or children.

Private cottage - Atherton Tablelands

A cosy self contained cottage in the Atherton Tablelands suitable for up to two adults, no children or infants. No neighbours for 400 meters. Enjoy the peace and quiet, abundant wildlife and various walking tracks on our 20ha property adjacent to World Heritage Forest. A great central place to explore the beautiful Tablelands. Most guests wished they could have stayed longer so consider to stay an extra night.
