Set within the grounds of Fernie Castle a beautiful authentic Treehouse with 6 living Trees growing and thriving. Equally beautiful in all seasons especially winter being so very cozy, it is fully heated with lots of hot water for the freestanding bath for two. With all the amenities of a 5 star bedroom, a large freestanding bath on the second floor with a small balcony with views to the stunning countryside it does indeed feel like a fairytale just remember to bring your favourite bubbles...

Driftwood - A coastal experience by the sea.

Our cosy apartment is close to the harbour. It is ideal for 4/5 but can accommodate 6. (It has one bathroom). The garden is a sun trap where you can relax. Nibbles? Wine? Our windows all have harbour/sea views. We have 3 bedrooms, a king size, queen and twin beds. The kitchen and living area has TV, DVD, and Wifi. There is an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. The original 19 th century stairs are steeper than nowadays so please be aware and be careful and mindful.

The Tower, Thornton Castle

Traditional & relaxed accommodation in the 16th century Scottish tower of our family home. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. This modern, spacious and bright apartment has spectacular views over the nearby golf course towards the beach. The apartment comprises of an open plan kitchen and living area, a master bedroom with en-suite, twin bedroom and additional bedroom with sofa bed. The views of the surrounding area towards the glens can be viewed from the decking which extends all around the property. Just a 10 minute walk from the town centre, it is within easy reach of a number of very good local restaurants.

Venturing out, Gourdon is the perfect base to explore the coasts and mountains, history, castles, food and culture of Aberdeenshire.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.
