Built in 1926, Þengilbakki is a lovely house in Grenivík, a calm family-friendly township in North Iceland. It's located at the roots of the hill of Höfði, close to the shoreline, with a stunning view of the fjord. The nature in the area has a lot to offer, such as seasonal activities including walking trails, hiking, berry picking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and skiing. Places close by: Akureyri 25 min., Goðafoss 30 min., Mývatn 55 min. and Húsavík 55 min. drive away.

And this is where our farms name comes from. Hraunkot means: a small farm in the lava. There are quite far between neighbors here and we are 20 km from the closest shop.
