Diner/kitchen with over, fridge freezer & microwave. Downstairs bathroom with bath, shower over bath & WC. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms:one has double bed & 2nd with small double. Also upstairs is a separate WC. Views to Ennerdale fells from front bedroom & views to the sea from the rear. Small rear seating area.

We are situated 5 minutes walk from Derwent Water and the Nicol End Marina for kayaking and water activities. Portinscale has a pub that serves food and a cafe. Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.

Scafell Pike, Yewbarrow and Illgill Head can all be started from the doorstep. Very easy access to the lake for paddleboarding, kayaking and wild swimming.

Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
