Rose Cottage is a 150 year old Grade II listed property, located within the Durham City conservation area. It is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the many attractions of this historic city, including the Unesco World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Durham University Museums and Gardens, riverside walks and an abundance of eateries. Rose cottage offers guests stylish, comfortable accommodation with quality furnishings, a small furnished courtyard and complimentary guest parking.

I welcome people who are visiting friends, or working. You will have exclusive use of a beautiful period cottage, which is bright and modern. You will also have a free private parking space next to the cottage, useful as most of Durham is permit holder parking. Fantastic location to experience Durham - under 10 minutes walk to Durham train station and Durham bus station/City centre, which then leads to the cultural and commercial zones, multiple bars and restaurants. The Annexe is in the grounds of our larger house occupied by us, situated at the end of a private road near to Durham City centre. The annexe is totally self contained and has its own allocated parking space next to it together with private decked area with Cathedral views

Train station is 1 mile away Durham university is 1.6 mile away Durham university hospital is 2 mile away. We welcome dogs but please check them in when booking

Seaside cottage stunning village

Located in a beautiful fishing village, just a few minute walk to a stunning coastline and beaches, the village has great restaurants, cafe, Blues micro pub and a friendly pub ‘the jolly sailor’. 5 minute walk to Latimers fish restaurant, then further along the road is seaburn with plenty bars and restaurants, a stunning beach. There is buses from the village to Sunderland and South Shields. Why not walk along the stunning coastal path to South Shields or over cleadon hills with stunning views.

To the East we have the coastal town of Seaham Harbour, to the West we have Beamish Museum, County Durham and Northumberland
