Valley View is my cosy detached house situated in a semi-rural location within 10 minutes drive from both Dumfries town centre and Thornhill. There are many things to do in Dumfries. It can be a parkland golf course, mountain bike trails at the 7 stanes, camera obscura, a farmers market, restaurants, children's play parks, hills, rivers, forest walks and much more. Dumfries' museums are also treasure troves for uncovering the local history including Robert Burns.

Kirkland Cottage

Kirkland Cottage is completely self-contained and is attached to our main house in an enclosed, secluded and large garden. Although only two miles from Dumfries Town Centre it is in a quiet, rural location. There is ample parking beside the cottage and a lockable room for storage of bicycles and other leisure equipment. The cottage provides a great base from which to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the immediate locality.

The Coorie

Located within the Galloway Forest Park (Britain's first nominated Dark Sky Park) in the small, tranquil village of Glentrool, surrounded by nature, with direct access to surrounding hills, ancient woodland, forest trails and Loch Trool. The Coorie, operated by the local community trust for the benefit of the community, provides modern bright, spacious accommodation for up to 5 guests who enjoy getting away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors.

We are between 10/30 mins from 3 of the 7stanes cycling trails and 6 miles from several beaches or hills for walking. You are 5 mins drive away from the market town of Castle Douglas.

Lady Farm - Bargany

An old coaching inn set in a peaceful corner of Bargany Estate next to the river Girvan. Finished in June 2024 the whole cottage has been redone and is now ready for holiday rentals. With 4 bedrooms it can comfortably sleep up to 8 people and two well-behaved dogs welcome. Perfect for family holidays or getaways with a group of friends. It has a large enclosed private garden and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and peaceful walks.
