Tranquility Oak is located on Lake Wanteska inside Connestee Falls, a gated community in the Western North Carolina mountain town of Brevard (20 minutes to downtown and 60 minutes to Asheville). Enjoy the private dock, swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking down at the lake. Breathe in the mountain air while enjoying the views from either the upper or lower deck. The house also has ping pong, a pool table, darts, and air hockey for those lazy days enjoyed inside.

Cottage at Gear Down

Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest. We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.

The apartment has a full kitchen, large shower and a fire pit on the deck for your enjoyment This area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, music lovers, hikers and cyclists. If you are planning to visit our state and national parks, please check to see which trails are open. Downtown Brevard is a quaint mountain town with unique shops, a variety of restaurants and art galleries and is just 15 from the apartment.
