The house sits on a beautiful farm property. There is a stream that runs through the property and there is a beautiful view from the back porch. It is located 10 minutes from Shippensburg and Chambersburg. It is also about 30 minutes from Gettysburg Battlefield. Whitetail, Ski Liberty Resort, and Roundtop are all within an hour.

Claire House is a renovated home on the banks of Middle Spring Creek. Its restored open porch and balcony over look the cool spring waters as they meander past the property and under the wooden foot bridge. An old pavilion with a rustic table and benches, along with a fire pit, sit close by. In the spring, the creek is stocked with trout for the fishing enthusiasts. Shippensburg University and the Luhrs Center are less than 2 miles away as are numerous eateries and shopping experiences.

In 2000 Walt and Diana Brown purchased this property and began restoration and remodeling. The woodwork and other accommodations throughout have all been carefully selected to provide the atmosphere of an European Chalet. The Carriage House is within walking distance to downtown Carlisle and its many historic attractions.
