Welcome to our Scandinavian timber-cladded cabin situated in a quiet rural setting only 6km from Athenry town with its medieval castle, cosy pubs, good restaurants, and shops. Athenry has rail/bus connections with Dublin, Limerick and Galway City. An ideal spot from which to plan your excursions: head west to Galway City (23km); or southwest via Kinvara (24km) to the Burren (43km); and then to the Cliffs of Moher (70km). Or, go east to Loughrea (19km) where there's safe summer lake swimming.

Romantic Hideaway - 1850's Schoolhouse
The Old Schoolhouse was built in 1850, and has been beautifully restored. It's got a long and rich history, dating back to the Irish Famine. My dad went to school here, we lived in it as a family growing up and I wanted to share some of the history of the buildng with visitors. It's been updated with fast (150mb) fiber internet, and it's very cozy and warm. We just added a modern, private workspace outside for remote working - fast internet, private, monitors, great for Zoom calls!
