The pod itself is beautifully designed in shiplap wood, the interior offers a cosy bedroom area, a kitchen with smart use of space, a living and dining area with lots of natural light from a panoramic window and a bathroom with shower. ÈALÚ direct Irish translation for ESCAPE is the name of this unique place. This little oasis is positioned on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide expanse of valley, tucked away from everything but yet a 5min drive from Westport Town. A wood-fired hot tub sits on the spacious deck, overlooking the valley. After bathing in the hot tub make your way up the external staircase to the balcony (which connects to the bedroom), where you can relax in the hammock and take in the amazing views.

A perfect base to explore the West of Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way, with Foxford, Ballina, Castlebar & Westport nearby.

The Hobbit House - Unique Quirky Grass Roof House

The Hobbit House is set within an orchard along side 3 yurts. Its grass roof and quirky round door entrance are reminiscent of The Hobbit. The Hobbit House sleeps up to 6. There are two handcrafted King size beds (which can also sleep as four singles) for a friends getaway. It also sleeps two singles, so is perfect for large families. A travel cot can also be provided on request. Private dry composting toilet and hot outdoor shower for those staying in The Hobbit House.

It is an old cottage which has been renovated over the years while still maintaining it's rustic charm. It's located close to many beautiful beaches, in one of the most scenic spots along the Wild Atlantic Way in Connemara. The views from the cottage are simply breathtaking.
