Spacious enough for a large group but charming for a writer's solitude. The sunsets and night skies are what drew us here. They bring pink-cotton-candy clouds. Then the sun crowns the valley hills in mauve until the stars begin to make themselves visible. Slowly, a few at a time, until the entire sky is covered in brilliant stardust.

Instead of a lake view, JollyRanch offers a quiet neighborhood with chickens, deer, & wildlife. Relax on the porch anytime. A short commute to Spring Branch & Bulverde. Wimberley, San Marcos, San Antonio & Austin are easy trips. You can commute to Luckenbach, Friedricksburg & Hill Country wineries. **Please inquire about longer stays IF interested.

Perfect place to come relax, recharge and enjoy the hill-country living. On the property you can take a dip in the pool, relax in the sauna or jacuzzi. You can take 10 min walk, bike or a 3 min drive to the neighborhood lake/beach area bring your shade and beach chairs for a day of swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. Old Hancock Trail is about 3.5 miles and then curves back around making the trip about 7 miles perfect for hiking along the lake. Canyon lake Marina is 10 min drive.

We are just a 5 min walk from the Blanco River and River Road and a 3 min drive to the Wimberley Square. The house is well stocked with your kitchen essentials and bath goodies to soak the day away.

Kids enjoy exploring, wildlife and roasting marshmallows while snuggling up around a campfire. The experience is much like camping, not to be compared with a hotel.
