The Shoemakers Cottage has undoubtedly one of the best locations in Whitby right at the bottom of the 199 steps tucked in a quiet alley off the cobbled street. A small but cosy romantic cottage over 3 floors close to the harbour, the abbey and very close to Tate Hill Beach. BBQ and picnic basket set provided. Romantic victorian freestanding bath in the main bedroom. Arrival is down the busy cobbled church street. Best location. On-street parking scratch card provided in the W zone 10min walk.

The Smithy at Cross Pipes, Goathland

The Smithy is a self contained stone built cottage situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. It was built in the 1800’s and was originally one of two blacksmiths serving the community of Goathland. The Smithy offers you a comfortable base to visit the local area. Spacious studio accommodation with a king sized bed in a recessed area, walk in shower and toilet, full kitchen facilities, wood burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. There is an outside seating area and private parking.

Return to the dog field for afternoon tea or a glass of wine, where a bench for two in a peaceful sun trap provides panoramic views of the setting sun.

Harwood House is a fisherman's cottage in the heart of the old town in Scarborough. It's 2 minutes' walk down Custom House steps, and you're on the sea front in South Bay. The house is on 4 floors. The cellar with the original range is the living room. We have a sitting room, dining area, kitchen with vaulted ceiling and bathroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the next two floors complete with sea and castle views. Please also note that the property has slipper baths - there are no showers or shower heads (see pictures) Private area with seating and a hot tub. We are in the countryside but only 2 miles from local amenities. Pocklington is 2 miles, The beautiful city of York is 12 miles, the coast is only an hours drive.

Including Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey, Whitby, also york,Malton , Beverly, Yorkshire moors, and RSPB bempton cliffs. Spend your days walking on the beach or moors and wolds, then enjoy a drink at our village pub, then back to the cottage to sit by the log burner.
