The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

Casa di campagna storica dell' anno 1864, 3 camere da letto matrimoniali (una di passaggio), salotto, cucina attrezzata, terrazza con vista stupenda. Prato con sdraio, amache tra gli ulivi. Lasciata l'auto sulla strada, in 3 minuti a piedi su un sentiero/mulattiera con scalini si arriva alla casa a Borgo Morotti, poche case a 400mt di altezza, dove sarete immersi nella natura lontano da auto e rumori di città ma a 30 minuti d'auto dal mare, 60 minuti da Pisa, Lucca, Le cinque Terre.

Il Mulino di Candalla

Un caratteristico mulino di metà 800 completamente ristrutturato ed immerso nel verde delle cascate di Candalla, all’interno sono ancora visibili le macine e gli antichi strumenti che venivano utilizzati. Il mulino di Candalla è l'alloggio perfetto per vivere una vacanza all'insegna del relax e della tranquillità, potendo comunque comodamente raggiungere in poco tempo il mare, le città come Lucca, Pisa e le Cinque Terre e molti altri luoghi d'interesse come le cave di marmo di Carrara.

Gli ultimi 1,5 km sono un percorso panoramico, stretto e ripido nel verde, percorribile solo con auto 4x4 compatte, proprio per questo qui troverai pace assoluta. Per la tua comodità il proprietario mette a disposizione una Fiat Panda 4x4, da utilizzare esclusivamente dalla casa al parcheggio di Metato e viceversa.
