The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. The Cottage is an adorable tiny house, offering 500 square feet of living space with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. The queen-size bed is upstairs in the sleeping loft.

Enjoy your stay at the peaceful, gently-sloping, recently-renovated, lakefront "Wood Duck Inn" on quiet Mill Creek Cove on Norris Lake just around the point from Waterside Marina. From the huge deck just 200 yards down a gently sloping path, is your own floating dock. The house is located just 7.5 miles northeast on Highway #61 from exit #122 on I-75; only 30 minutes north of Knoxville. Just steps away from a private dock and crystal green water, this home is sure to meet all of your needs. Enjoy the serene surroundings by simply lounging on the deck or on a raft. For those of you who are more adventurous, hop on a boat and explore the lakes 700 miles of shore line by water.

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.
