Santa Monica Mountains/ Topanga Guesthouse The studio apartment boasts a well-equipped kitchen with full refrigerator for plenty of storage, two induction cooktops, one microwave, a Breville electric oven/toaster and an outdoor gas grill. Have your dinner on a private redwood deck and patio, shaded by coast live oak trees. The rental has oak hardwood floors, walk in shower and all new fixtures throughout. Quiet A/C and heat with a designated private guest parking space included. Enjoy easy access to many local beaches and endless mountain trails for hiking and biking in Mediterranean climate conditions. Malibu and Topanga Beaches have world-class surfing conditions. Site seeing, restaurants and tourism abound. Santa Monica/Venice and the Los Angeles area is easy to access. Charming and clean with a comfortable queen sized bed, this 220 square foot space with private deck is perfect for couples. Use of the grounds with over thirty oak trees makes for a delightful getaway or stop over while traveling. We provide maps and advice regarding hidden beaches and locations in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Malibu Creek State Park and access to Cultural activities in the city of Los Angeles. Children and pets are negotiable. The Guesthouse shares a breezeway with the main house. It has its own private entrance and peaceful private patio deck area. Guests privacy is our priority. Once contacted, we are open to children traveling with parents, although there is only one bed. Dogs will be considered so long as they are not aggressive to our cats. No pets are allowed on the furniture. Although the property is on a residential street, it is very much part of the wild land, intermixed with deer, coyotes, and bobcats as well as migrating birds and butterflies. We provide one designated parking space. A car is somewhat necessary in the mountains. There is a seasonal beach bus which travels along State Route 27, Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Uber and Lyft are spotted more commonly of late. Buses run along Pacific Coast Highway from Malibu to downtown. The new EXPO train is available is Santa Monica, connecting travelers to many city locations. Once here, endless hiking and walking possibilities under the oaks and into the chaparral and coastal sage is available on foot. The hosts are well versed in the native habitat here and can advise travelers.

Our house has a detached new unit at the backyard with a separate entrance. My brother and I are both professional workers, and mostly spend afternoons around the house. We love to travel and appreciate seeing the world as much as possible. We would love to have you as our guest while on your own adventure around the world!

We would like to offer people from all over the world visiting Los Angeles a place to relax after intense sightseeing tours or after a long work day. We created a little suite that has a separate bedroom, a separate living room, and a private bathroom with amazing views of the valley hills and the city right by the pool. Just have a glass of wine at the end of our back yard on top of the hill and watch the moon and stars, do a few laps in the pool, or just watch a movie in your own living room.

Our renovated private guest suite is located on Woodland Hills neighborhood 12 miles from Topanga Beach, 17 miles from Malibu, 18 miles from Santa Monica and 16 miles from Universal Studios. If you prefer to be "off the beaten path" but yet close enough to enjoy the conveniences of town - this is the spot for you! Before booking, please keep in mind that the access to the unit is through an outdoor set of stairs with no railing.

This guest suite blends vintage furniture and artwork with a 70's-inspired decor. Original wood-paneled walls and countless potted plants complement the gorgeous mountain views and wildlife that can be seen from the windows and private balcony. NOTE: This unit is below our home with an active toddler & across the hall from our office. It can be noisy at times. We overlook horses, so you may hear occasional neighing. If you have allergies to animals, this space may not be best for you.
