Designed to connect with the natural systems of a special place, Chertecho sits among the trees on a 5-acre rocky slope overlooking the Pedernales River Valley. An outdoor stair system connects the three levels - a covered rooftop deck; a second-floor master suite; and a ground floor kitchen space. Glass walls open to the wooded slopes of Big Hill, a ridge separating the Pedernales and Guadalupe watersheds halfway between Comfort and Fredericksburg. A place to unplug, and reconnect.

This cabin has recently finished construction and is located on my 26 acre ranch on a beautiful hilltop about 5 miles outside of Fredericksburg. We have a horse and three donkeys that guests can feed upon request. Our guests love the fabulous views and sunsets, the quiet serenity, and the well thought out cabin amenities. Also an especially good location for bicyclists & motorcyclists. One small house-trained dog that remains leashed while outdoors is welcome.
