The Roaming Gnome Guest Ranch is a modern take on Solvang’s historic Danish culture. Mid-century cottages are freshly renovated and decorated in happy, bright tones, fun kitsch, and clean comfort. Located two short blocks from Solvang’s famous windmill and the main drag Copenhagen, you’ll find easy access to shopping, wine tasting and some of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara county. Parking is provided on-site, so you’ll be able to ditch the wheels and walk anywhere in town within minutes.

Private and Cozy Studio

Our private studio is great for couples or single professionals who need a quiet place to work. Studio is furnished with one Queen bed and a two twin beds (trundle bed comes from underneath the twin bed in the picture. Private bathroom and access to our backyard, some guests have used it for Yoga, Meditation and for their kids to run around 10 minute drive to downtown and/or main beaches. Private parking space included for one vehicle. Only minutes from hiking trails, UCSB, Beach, etc.

Cozy BEE Cottage in Santa Ynez

Come settle in to the Cozy "BEE" Cottage located in beautiful Santa Ynez. Situated on a quaint dirt cul-de-sac walking distance to downtown. You will be greeted with a rose covered trellis entry gate and spacious fully enclosed yard for your furry family member. Studio feels much larger than it's 500 sq ft. but retains a warm and cozy feel. Short walk into the town of Santa Ynez or a 5-10 minute drive to all of the other lovely towns in the valley, Solvang/Los Olivos/Balllard/Buellton.

Bunkhouse - Cozy Rustic Retreat

Stay in a rustic ranch bunkhouse, a true country getaway. This log cabin has a tin roof and expansive views of wine country and farm land. Stroll the property to visit livestock (goats, alpacas, chickens, etc) and take a short drive to the best vineyards. We are right over the hill from some of the best wine in the valley: Brickbarn, Dierberg- Star Lane, Melville, Foley, Alma Rosa, etc. We are also close to Industrial Eats, Firestone, The Hitching Post, and The Tavern at Zaca Creek.

Rustic retreat

This cottage is very comfortable and cute. It is rustic but we have AC and heat for every season. The outside has a lovely courtyard with fire pit and string lights. This cottage is very centrally located with Los Olivos just a mile up the road and Solvang 3 miles down the road. There are many wineries in every direction walking distance and a bike ride away. It sleeps two comfortably in our queen size bed. Please let us know the duration of time in which she would like to stay.

The Gate House - SY Valley

A charming large cottage located in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley on a working horse breeding farm. Only 2 miles from downtown Solvang, this adorable 2 bedroom house has a large bedroom suite with a cal king bed , a second bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bathroom, fully stocked kitchen and 2 sitting areas. Enjoy a glass of wine on the patio while BBQing. Very centrally located near a myriad of top restaurants, wine tasting, and tons of shopping.

This cozy cottage is located in scenic Ballard Canyon amid lush vineyards and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The house is situated on a 5 acre ranch and features high end modern appliances, entertainment system and hot tub. The two-bedroom one-bath cottage is located halfway between Solvang and the quaint town of Los Olivos. Stroll remote country lanes and enjoy views of rolling hills and the nearby goats, llamas and horses!

So enjoyed being out of town, but so close to everything! Our only regret is we did not have longer to stay. ***What a wonderful studio that offers beautiful views of the mountains.

The guest house is located in a peaceful neighborhood of one-acre lots near the town of Santa Ynez. Bike to town or take a short 5-10 minute drive to Solvang or Los Olivos.

For couples, adventurers, and business travelers. Kitchenette has a small fridge, sink, coffee maker and hot water kettle. No stove or microwave inside the studio. Apple TV in the studio. Sorry, no pets allowed. We will provide a pack n’ play for babies.
