This 200 year old barn has been lovingly renovated to create a modern, open plan apartment that provides spacious accommodation for two. Its whitewashed stone walls and bare timbers retain the charm of the original building and two full length windows open onto a private patio and garden and flood the apartment with sunlight. Skirr Cottage was the home of the acclaimed writer Henry Williamson who is best known as the author of Tarka the Otter. With its pretty whitewashed exterior the cottage is set next to a trickling stream next to the historic Norman church of St. George in the heart of Georgeham village. Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.

Our charming cottage is in a fabulous location right on Ilfracombe's historic Quay. We overlook the harbour, beach and the lifeboat station; Tunnels beach and wedding venue are nearby. The rear courtyard hides a secret sunny garden complete with table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining and a secluded hot tub. The top floor bedrooms have water views either of the harbour or the Bristol Channel, and our garden room has space for wet gear, boards and bikes! Dogs are welcome.

Our riverside cottage is close to everything you need in the lovely village of Braunton, yet feels a million miles from everyday life. This is a 200 year old cottage with a cosy contemporary feel. We have 2 double rooms with an extra fold out bed/ travel cot possible. This makes a perfect base to surf, walk, cycle (right next to the Tarka trail) or just chill in the lovely garden or in front of the woodburner. Couples, friends, children and a well behaved dog all welcome.

The Lookout is a log cabin which occupies a superb position with spectacular views over Braunton, the burrows and beyond. The log cabin is situated at the top of our garden next to our house. Access is via some steps - certainly well worth it for the view. We are conveniently located within the village of Braunton, around 5-7 minutes walk to the centre where there are a great variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is off street parking for one car.
