Experience an authentic, fully equipped, lovingly renovated, vintage home with panoramic views of Lake Trasimeno. The cottage is on a hill and surrounded by olive trees. Our Italian caretaker (Luigina) lives down the road. Light the fireplace for cosy autumn/winter evenings, and a wisteria covered terrace for shaded dining in summer. The accommodation consists of a small stone house on two levels with an outdoor stone patio and is located on the top of a hill completely covered with woods. A short private white road ( 500m) leads from the paved road to the house. The building was designed by the owner, who is an architect, and is built according to the most recent anti-seismic regulations and according to the principles of bio-architecture. The house is actually a near zero energy building (Nzeb).

Casa Gialla, Cortona-sunsets in the olive grove

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene place. Listen to the sounds of church bells and birds in the olive grove. If you like a good walk you can walk up the hill to Cortona (you need to be pretty fit though!) or drive up, park in the free car park in town and walk back, the sunsets are breathtaking. The road to the house is a "strada bianca" a white road, although it's a narrow country road, all types of cars will be able to drive to the house.
