Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Relax in front of the woodburning stove after a days exploring, watch the sun set over Penrhyn Castle, take a walk down to the beach, or enjoy a drink at the The Slate Tavern and a walk home across the fields. A safe place to retreat from the world, and reconnect with nature, over two miles from the main road. Relaxing in the private garden listen to owls hooting or cuckoos calling. Walking from the door leads you to an old drovers track, or higher up through bilberry scrub to Cnicht, the Welsh Matterhorn, or along lanes and paths to secluded swimming spots in rivers and lakes.

Historical area which has recently been designtated an UNESCO World Heritage Site.There are castles within easy reach of property. Ideal for walkers, climbers, cyclist etc with the Eryri/Snowdonia Slate Trail and a Cycle Track running through the village. Zip World is 5 minutes away. Buses run from Bethesda up the A5 allowing access to the mountains etc. with parking in the village.

Hafan is a unique cosy cottage converted from an old stone walled mill and retaining many original features. Situated within the grounds of Bryn Llys, it offers a tranquil setting with ten acres of gardens, lake and woodland to explore and relax in. Close to the border of Snowdonia National park, the cottage is a 10 min walk to local amenities in the village of Bethesda. Hafan is a short walk from Zip World and is well located to explore all that the beautiful surrounding area has to offer.

Bethesda village centre is within walking distance and has a Tesco supermarket (open 7 days a week until late), pubs and a good choice of takeaways.

You’ll love my place because its a traditional grade 2 listed welsh cottage fully refurbished and set in a small hamlet within the countryside. My place is good for couples, walkers, solo adventurers, business travellers and small families. PLEASE NOTE: This is a small village located a couple of miles from the main A55 road there are no shops in the village itself. Tesco is a 5 min drive away
