Reconnect with nature on this unforgettable escape. Our beautiful Narrowboat isn’t like an average hire boat, it’s full of homely touches to make your stay a memorable one. You can chill in a picturesque location or as we have a self-drive license you can cruise either north or south from our base in Croxley, Hertfordshire. South takes you down to London in a couple of days or North takes you up through some wonderful countryside towards Berkhamstead and Aylesbury. A holiday with a difference.

Houseboat Friends

Houseboat Friends is a Humber Keele barge, built in 1908 that was originally used to transport coal. It has since been repurposed as a houseboat and is moored on Nine Elms Pier on the river Thames, a few minutes walk from the new Battersea Power Station development and the beautiful Battersea Park. Its a 5 minute walk from Battersea power station tube (Northern line) and 10 minute walk from Vauxhall tube station (Victoria line) making all of central London easily accessible by foot or by tube.

Beautiful 60ft traditional narrow boat on the river, 240v is only available when the engine is running. We have wifi and external cctv. It is clean, warm, safe and has a chemical boat loo. The beds are all very comfortable and consist of one main double & bunk and one sofa bed, all in separate rooms. The boat is mainly on the river and we have a wide plank for access, making the boat unsuitable for wheelchairs, elderly or infirm. The boat has been on Inspector Lewis. The boat is NOT a hotel.
