'The Howff' is a refurbished farm worker's bothy in a rural location with lots of walks and access to beautiful parts of Perthshire. One hour's drive from Edinburgh, 20 mins Dundee or Perth. This authentic bothy contains one room with single bed, wood burning stove, mini kitchen unit with fridge, oven, portable hob and kettle, separate shower room, wc, basin. Linen and towels included. Although small, The Howff is warm and cosy and makes a perfect retreat. Please note for ONE only.

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. We are located in the centre of the village, but set back behind the road in a quiet spot with woods to the rear.

The Holt

The Holt is a small wooden cabin situated on the Snow Road route through Aberdeenshire, in the catchment of Royal Deeside and close to Balmoral. It sits within our property but is detached from the main house with it's own decking and private space. Numerous munros and hills are accessible within an easy drive or bike, winter skiing at Glenshee orThe Lecht ski centres, and endless hiking or walking. Ballater and Braemar villages are popular tourist stops.

The Crow's Nest~ House of Newe

*WINTER SCHEDULE* Enjoy the house itself or the 12 acres of mostly woodlands at our doorstep. Climb to the top of Ben Newe or Ski at the Lecht. Strathdon in the winter can be harder to access if there is snow. Always check the weather when travelling (October-April).
