The apartment is up on a hill in a residential area, slightly removed from the village centre and nightlife sounds. The famous Manly surf beach or still water Shelly Beach are within walking distance. Buses travel constantly up and down nearby Sydney and Pittwater Roads to all surrounding areas and the city. Manly Wharf is in walking distance to catch a boat into the city. I walk from the apartment to everywhere in Manly. If you need a car there is an off street space for a small to medium size car secured behind a gate. For a larger or 2nd car there is a resident parking permit for free unrestricted street parking. For those who find walking up a hill to the apartment from Manly difficult there are frequent bus services which stop on the flat nearby and a taxi rank at the bottom or the hill which cost about $7. Manly Council provides a free ‘hop, skip & jump’ bus every 30 mins from morning to early evening, which stops near or in the street - depending which route you take. There is room for surfboards and outside shower is a great way to rinse off after the beach. The dryer is located under the house near clothes line. Washing machine is in the kitchen. The apartment is on the ground floor of a two apartment duplex. Access to the house for those with a disability has one small step up to the front verandah and another small step up once inside the entry hall. There are another two steps inside the house from the kitchen up to slightly elevated dining/sun room. Manly is a fabulous lively city village. Freshwater Cottage

Chillax at this Beachside location! Freshwater Cottage is beautiful accommodation only a 5 minute walk to the best beach in the world: Freshwater and a 7 minute walk to the beautiful clifftop boardwalk to Curl Curl Beach (second best!?). Also a short walk to cafes, bars & restaurants, including the famous Pilu Restaurant! Plus a delightful 60 minute beachside stroll to the famous Manly Beach. Perfect for a summer beach holiday, a winter ocean-side retreat or a work from home surfer’s escape!

Harbour Hideaway

Beach front Luxury escape for 2 only. No parties allowed, it is on the lower level of our house, which overlooks Sydney Harbour, It has its own private entrance and is totally separate, it has direct access to the beach in Clontarf, there are 62 steps up to the apartment. We are on the Spit bridge to Manly walk which is stunning. Seaforth Village and Manly are close. Sandy bar cafe at the Marina and Bosk in Park, also a wide variety of first-class dining and shopping options are close by

Leafy & Private Courtyard Studio

This sunny studio is set in a leafy, private courtyard with a side entrance. It is adjacent to our family home. A short level walk to Manly ocean beach, cafes, restaurants, shops, Manly wharf and all that this beautiful seaside suburb has to offer. There's a local bus(free or coin donation)across the road that goes to Manly and runs half hourly. The studio is equipped with a queen bed with ensuite, kitchenette. Your courtyard has a retractable awning and a small weber bbq for cooking.

Just so you’re aware, we live in the main house at the front. While you may occasionally hear us, we’re very quiet and respectful of your space. Please respect the neighbourhood while you are listening to your music and keep the noise down. Your retreat is fully private, we absolutely respect that.
