Waterfront Paradise- Private Boat Ramp & Fishing

Welcome to our home on Lake Blackshear! We are located in a cove at the northern tip of the lake, surrounded by trees and beautiful nature. There is 1 queen bed, one queen sleeper sofa, and 1 futon (suitable for 1-2 small kids). Its beautiful country life so come enjoy it with us! It is duckweed season! Duckweed is a harmless (annoying) green plant that thrives in still water like our cove. It floats on top of the water and is a nuisance. Please see photos for reference during this season.

Janelle’s cottage is named after my Mom, Janelle Perkins. She was a public health nurse who had a great love for God and people. This is a handicap friendly home. We want you to enjoy the slower pace in Cochran Ga. This is a pet friendly home whether it’s the 4 legged kind or the feathered kind. They are welcome. We do not charge a pet fee or a cleaning fee. We are approximately 4 miles from Middle Georgia State University and approx. 30 minutes from Warner Robins.

Located just 19 min from RAFB, 12 min from Amazon, and 22 min from the GA National Fairgrounds - close to it all! If you are stopping for the evening, it is less than 5 minutes from I-75. Don't worry about overpacking - we have provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryers, coffee and a few extras. Property equipped with front door RING doorbell.

PLEASE BE INFORMED - NO PETS ALLOWED. Come and enjoy a stay by the Flint River. We have many amenities you’ll enjoy - bring your fishing poles, boats, kayaks and enjoy a day on the river! Also, you may want a night by a fire or to grill a nice meal - we have those options too! And I’ve saved the best for last, make sure you bring your swimsuit- our pool is open for you to use as well!!
