Forest Floor Guesthouse

The lower level of our Jewel Lake Home with a separate entry, and fun backyard. This is a recent remodel; an eclectic space with vintage wood ceilings and a blend of industrial+ modern detailing. We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use paddle boards at Sand Lake.

Alaska Private Reserve is five acres of your own wilderness: Close enough to the city, far enough to forget about the hustle and bustle and indulge in Nature’s pace. Wildlife frequent the yard, and occasionally take a dip in the fish pond. Start your day with breakfast downstairs at The Bake Shop, spend the day exploring the mountain or town, and then unwind at either the Sitzmark or Jack Sprat while enjoying great food and drinks!

Hope H.U.B. Have. U. Been?

The beautiful community of Hope is a two hour drive from Anchorage. Hope HUB offers summer and winter trails for hiking, biking and skiing. PILOTS: the runway is a 10 minute walk, tie down the saucer and ride our community beater bikes into town for food and music. The Hope HUB has great views of the surrounding mountains on both sides. Use our outdoor fire pit, stocked with wood. Meet Wally our resident walrus and enjoy a truly extraterrestrial experience.

Garmisch Ski Cabin - Ptarmigan

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located cabin. This two bedroom, full kitchen and full back space is the bottom unit of a ski cabin located .2 miles from resort lifts, summer hiking, the bike path, and locals shops and restaurants.
