The fully equipped house includes a chef’s kitchen, high-end finishes, local art, and a blend of modern/vintage charm, making for a truly memorable stay.

The Forest Hermitage of Turtle Haven Sanctuary

The Forest Hermitage is part of Turtle Haven Sanctuary nearby and has a specific purpose of providing inspiration and retreat for artists, writers, naturalists, and those drawn to stillness and inner contemplation, in need of rest, and renewal. The two-story structure is located in a forest grove on several wooded acres, across the road from a view of the Nooksack River and valley. This Pacific Northwest corner is renowned for its spawning salmon in season, abundant eagles, and other wildlife.

Rustic Retreat

Quiet, private, secluded home on 25 acres of forested land. The home was built from logs milled on site. Enjoy filtered spring water, natural light, stargazing, & views of the tops of Mount Baker and the Sisters on a clear day. Owls and Elk can be heard during the evening hours at certain times of the year. Heat is provided by a wood stove and 3 space heaters. Mount Baker is 1 hour away; Bellingham is 30 minutes. Well-behaved, house trained, and supervised pets are welcome with a per pet fee.

We're sorry but the Nest is not suitable/safe for small children and due to allergies we can't accommodate pets.

The Lake House on Blue Canyon. Vibrant and sunny, this lakefront home is superbly positioned for an adventure on Lake Whatcom. Inside, you'll enjoy preparing family meals in the beautifully kitchen. To further enhance your vacation experience, make your way out to the sprawling deck which features an outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and A gas grill. Enjoy a quiet warm campfire or relax on the dock and listen to the pond's waterfall. The Pond's Perch is the perfect spot to disconnect and rest after exploring the north cascades. The treehouse features a comfortable full-sized bed and a cozy murphy bed in the front room. Enjoy the fireplace, microwave, keurig, refrigerator, and indoor bathroom.

Relax and soak in all the nature the area has to offer. We are only 15 minutes from downtown Bellingham, 80 minutes from Seattle.

Middle Fork Cabin

This is truly a unique cabin. Designed by architect David Neiman & featured in the book "Log Houses of the World," it combines Japanese style features & NW log-frame construction to create a truly unique experience. Included in the rental is use of the 13+ acre wooded property, including access to the middle fork of the Nooksack River. The cabin is close to the year-round outdoor recreational opportunities that the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest provides.

Note: the property features a significant (about 60) stair steps to climb. As a result, it may be more challenging to enjoy for those experiencing ambulatory limitations.

Country Guesthouse

A quiet, tidy little craftsman home 20 miles from the Mt. Baker National Forest and 40 miles from the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The Middle Fork of the Nooksack and it's wildlife is a short walk to the north. We have a strict cancellation policy but we are really pretty accommodating. If you cancel within 30 days of your stay we will bank those lost funds for future use at any available time in the future.
